Hello, I am very honoured to be your President for the coming year but I am at the same time saddened as we will all have lost family, friends and fellow bowlers to this awful Covid-19.  It will feel strange and depressing when we meet up again and friends we have come to know will not be with us.  We have also sadly lost four clubs over the break: Arrow Ladies; Churchdown; EDF Energy (Barnwood); and Weston-sub-Edge.

It may seem strange to be thinking about playing bowls with everything that is going on at the moment but we must look forward with hope and optimism.  If we have the opportunity, it will certainly be very welcoming to get back on the green again with, hopefully, a full programme of county fixtures and competition schedules.

I would like to wish the Ladies all the best for the coming season and look forward to working closely with them in the future.

It only falls to me know to say I am looking forward with hope and will see you all next year.  Until then please keep safe and well.

Best Wishes

Gareth  Tarplee, President 2021, Bishop’s Cleeve Bowls Club
